Thomas Kaminski, the goalie for Luton, has apologized to his teammates for forcing them to play with just ten players for over an hour during yesterday's Championship match against Portsmouth as a result of his first-half red card.

The game began on the south coast with the Belgian international heading Conor Shaughnessy's header over the bar and then denying Sam Silvera's hard drive. However, referee John Busby reprimanded both the defender Teden Mengi and him for taking too long over a goal kick. Even though Mengi was actually the one standing over the ball, Kaminski was booked for time-wasting when they repeated the action a few minutes later at the half-hour mark, in front of an increasingly agitated North Stand.

One of Luton's standout players from their Premier League campaign soon suffered the consequences of his decision when, 34 minutes into the game, he raced out of his goal to try and clean up a long ball forward. The Hatters started their second-tier campaign with a point, despite having few players in the lineup.
